Bus Stop is a play written by William Inge in 1955. This poster was designed as a marketing tool for JCCC’s 2019 production. I chose to recreate a scene of the lead couple at a dingy diner on a snowy night. I used a mid-century modern illustration style to communicate the era and content of the story. Since this mid-mod style has recently had a resurgence, I felt that it would be eye-catching in 2019 while remaining true to the heart of the play.
